Post #14: Pants on the Ground
Good morning, Wednesday! Missed last week, so I’ll give you two stories in this one: one for real life and one to keep you abreast (lol, breast) of the intricate goings ons of the internet.
So let’s get this started. I went to Brisbane with the chick yesterday. It was awesome! Traffic was kind of a pain, but it wasn’t as bad as Washington DC.
The museum was pretty sweet, the art gallery was epic, and even the shopping wasn’t so bad
. Also, I had my first corndog in 7 months. I felt like an American again, with the impending heart failure to go with it.
However, there was one thing about Brisbane that shocked me:

There were Asians EVERYWHERE.
Now, I’m not being racist here. I have nothing against Asians. A continent that can come up with the Spring Roll can’t POSSIBLY be bad. That said, it was still weird. I am used to going to large malls and seeing lots of hispanic people yelling at their children in Spanish. I didn’t hear a single “Si” my whole day there. It took some adjusting, to say the least.
Now, on to the second story. I have to show you all this amazing video, in case you missed it when it aired on American Idol. For those of you with sagging jeans: let this be a lesson to you.
Simon: “I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit.”
You are so right, Simon. In just a week that song has taken the internet by storm. Giddy up, General Larry.
Well that’s it for this week, readers. I hope my college-going American readers are doing well in the second semester. Good luck, and as always, be safe.
